New Home Sales Fall In November

Home Builder Sentiment Falls To Lowest Level Since June 2009

According to the National Association Of Home Builders, Home Builder Confidence fell for the second straight month in Northern Virginia & Nationwide, to its lowest level since June, 2009.  Keep in mind that the Home Builder Sentiment is an index that measures whether this industry is positive or negative with regard to the current Real Estate Market.  This month it dropped 1 point to 15.  Keep in mind 50 or higher on the index indicates a positive viewpoint.

The NAHB blames the drop on Current Sales as well as lower Buyer Traffic.  Sales have remained flat.  They also took into account job security for consumers as well as having to compete with foreclosures.
